On November 10th, 2007, we had a lovely time playing at Unity Church in Lawrence, Kansas to a very enthusiastic crowd. Our Fox friend even had a video crew on site and you can find . . .
Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, Goodland, KS:
A lovely time was had by all. The fine folks of the Goodland Arts Council brought us out for their annual spaghetti dinner and art auction. It was a nice drive (a good strong wind got those turbines really moving at the edge of the Flint Hills outside of Salina - wow, energy creation was never so majestic!) and a beautiful evening with gracious and enthusiastic audience members. Maria even ended up with the winning bid on a beautiful cookie jar. We played one hour long set with the following songs:
One After 909
We Can Work It Out
I'm Looking Through You
I've Just Seen A Face
Misery
Ob La Di Ob La Da
Don't Pass Me By
All My Loving
Please Please Me
Give Me Love (Give me Peace On Earth)
I Will
Rocky Raccoon
Octopus's Garden
Here Comes The Sun
When I'm 64
Handle With Care
All You Need Is Love
In My Life
It was an older crowd and they seemed to especially like our rendition of When I'm 64. Playing this music is more fun than I would ever have imagined. And there are songs that we play that if I don't pay attention, I'll tear up (as in weep) and get lost in the beautiful sentiments of. What more can a musician ask for?
Sincerely,
~
Dave.
